- Résumé : What a year it’s been! So many twists and turns, so many hard-hitting headlines! And some about Miss Tweed too! We won the badge of honor of being blacklisted by Bernard Arnault, LVMH CEO and one of the world’s richest men, along with six other French independent media. Arnault imposed an “absolute ban” on his troops from speaking with journalists from these media. The ban shocked many editorial teams. Nearly 50 of them signed an open letter to defend the freedom of the press and express their solidarity with the editorial teams of the targeted media. These include leading print, TV and radio outlets like Le Monde, Libération, AFP, Les Échos and BFMTV. Richemont, which has been blacklisting Miss Tweed for more than three years, may want to pay heed to this open letter. Other luxury groups or brands blocking access to their events and press conferences — Hermès, Gucci and Chanel come to mind — might well do the same. Being blacklisted by LVMH and Richemont gave us great visibility and helped put Miss Tweed on the French media landscape. Wendlandt was interviewed by Le Monde, Libération and Challenges. This yearbook is an occasion to keep you up to date on what’s happening at Miss Tweed. It’s also a way to say thank you to the immensely talented Claire Laude, our illustrator. Miss Tweed would not be Miss Tweed without her. And we would not be where we are now without you dear readers. Thank you very much for your support. This book is a compilation of Miss Tweed’s stories during its fourth year from Sept. 2023 to Sept. 2024. Long live independent journalism and freedom of the press!
