The readers describe the adventures of a secondary school student called Tiantian. The readers aim to create a motivating environment, in which students can revise, practice and consolidate the vocabulary, sentence structures and language points they have learned from the textbook. The lengths of the stories are as follows: Level 1 stories each have 100-200 characters; Level 2 stories each have 300-500 characters; Level 3 stories each have 600-800 characters; Level 4 stories each have 1200-1600 characters. 2. About the author: Ms. Yamin Ma holds a B.A. of British Language and Literature and an M.Ed. in Curriculum Design and Development. She is now teaching Chinese as a foreign language in an international school in Hong Kong. With many years’ experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, she has done a thorough research for a long time on the Chinese AP test in the USA and Chinese IB test in Europe. Her research interests include English Language Teaching, Chinese Language Teaching and Pedagogical Psychology. Her academic papers have been read and published for many times in international seminars.
